The Proud Eagle !
The proud Eagle, symbol of strength and freedom,
a sacred bird to the Native American Indians
fights a lonely battle in our skies.
Facing the damaging effects of pollution,
the Eagle population has dwindled dramatically.
Complex threats include ingesting pollutants,
electrocution by collision with powerlines, and sadly,
continued illegal hunting.
Eagles are dying at an alarming rate each year.
